About Well Feet

Seniors need routine foot and toenail care to prevent discomfort related to the structural and skin changes that occur with aging. These ongoing changes can also contribute to falls and infection, leading to debility and loss of function. Our foot care services, provided by trained foot care nurses, include foot assessment, toenail cutting/trimming/filing, and addressing problem areas (corns, calluses, dry heels). We utilize sterile tools for each patient as infection prevention is our priority. Well Feet and our nurses carry extensive liability insurance.

our founder

I have been a registered nurse for 25 years and a nurse practitioner for 17 years. I have extensive experience with the needs of the geriatric population, literally “head to toe.” I started Well Feet in 2023 to meet the foot care needs of residents in facility settings and take great pride in our services. I live in Powhatan, Va with my husband and two teenage children.

I’m Melissa and have been a registered nurse for 17 years. I’m a mom to three beautiful children and I love to cook, sing, the state of Montana and spending time outdoors.  I started my nursing career as a spinal cord nurse working at McGuire VA medical center.  My nursing background includes rehab, wound care and now, foot care.  I have enjoyed caring for veterans and the elderly population.  I have been with WellFeet since June of 2023 and have thoroughly enjoyed meeting so many new patients and helping them with their foot care needs.  I look forward to what the future holds for WellFeet and myself as we take on foot care one toe at a time.
